Nancy Hanks Beal

Nancy Hanks Beal, aged 78, passed away on December 16, 2025, in Ninety Six, SC. Born on October 28, 1947, Nancy devoted 35 years of her career to Monsanto / Solutia, where she retired from a fulfilling role. Nancy graduated from Laurens High School, a foundation that supported her throughout her personal and professional life.
Known for her beautiful smile and warm heart, Nancy was a friend to all and never met a stranger. Her early days were spent actively at Star Fort Golf Club alongside her spouse, Lamar, where they were long-standing members. Later, she found joy in scrapbooking with her "Scrapbook Gang", a group she cherished like family.
Nancy leaves behind her beloved spouse of 53 years, Lamar (Monk) Beal, her son Jim Beal, and brothers, Pinky (Bug) Hanks and Richard (Crick) Hanks. She was a pillar of support for her brother-in-law's whom she helped raise, Walter Hix, Ronald Hix (Jenny), and Kenneth Hix (Barbara), and she adored her numerous nieces and nephews. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Nellie Hanks, her brother Junior, and sisters Mary, Gladys, and Nobie.
At Nancy's request, no services are planned. She will be remembered for her vibrant spirit and the deep bonds she forged with all those she met.
