Nancy L Blystone

Nancy L Blystone, 90, of Marinette passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at Aurora Medical Center-Bay Area. She was born on December 14, 1932, to the late Richard and Lena (Fleury) Nines in Appleton. She graduated from Portage High School in 1950. On January 3, 1953, Nancy married Carl Blystone in Portage; he preceded her in death on December 25, 1996. She had worked as a CNA at Marinette General Hospital and Menominee Care Center. Nancy and her husband, Carl, took in over 150 foster children over a twenty years span for Marinette County Social Services. They also hosted AFS and CASS high school and college foreign exchange students. She enjoyed knitting, crochet, reading, going for drives, and ice cream. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Menominee.
Nancy is survived by her daughters: Carol (Gary) Charles of Menominee, Cathy Blystone of Grand Rapids, MI, and Carla (Neal) Dionne of Marinette; son, Romy (Brenda) Blystone of Marinette; 17 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and her buddy, PinPin. In addition to her parents and husband, Carl, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Connie; great grandchildren: Carl, Cassidy, and Cami; brother, Richard, and sisters, Lorna and Florence.
Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, May 16th at 11am at Glenwood Memorial Gardens. Thielen Funeral Home is assisting the family.
