Nancy Felsher

Nancy Linderman Felsher, beloved mother, grandmother, almost great-grandmother, sister and friend, passed away on November 25, 2023 in Carmel surrounded by her loving family.
Nancy was born in Indianapolis on May 13, 1947, to the late Irving and Patricia Linderman. Nancy was a graduate of Indiana University after beginning her collegiate career at the University of Oklahoma and was a proud member of Sigma Delta Tau at both universities.
Nancy taught in IPS prior to leaving education full time to care for her children. She returned to the work force as a preschool teacher at the Bureau of Jewish Education and spent over 10 years working for AAA. During this time, she joined the American Business Women Association and served a term as President.
Nancy is survived by her devoted daughters, Heather (Todd) Shumaker of Indianapolis, and Rebecca (Adam) Hinderliter of Noblesville; grandchildren, Kameron (Jessica) Johnson, Madolyn Shumaker, Addyson Hinderliter and Evan Hinderliter; siblings, Dr. Richard (Jane) Linderman and Dr. James Linderman; and numerous relatives and friends whom she loved deeply.
Nancy had a variety of hobbies and interests; however, at the top of that list was family. Some of her happiest memories were when she lived with her daughter Becca and cared for her grandchildren Addy and Evan. She also loved playing mahjong and, until she was no longer able, played weekly with a group of friends. She loved watching sports with her favorite teams being the Indianapolis Colts, Oklahoma Sooners and IU Hoosiers. She could be heard on any given weekend yelling at the TV. She was an avid reader, took up square dancing at one point and enjoyed time with the Crayon girls. For those whom traveled with Nancy, she never turned down a trip to an amusement park but refused to ride anything other than the swings.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at 11:00am in Aaron-Ruben-Nelson Funeral Home, 11411 N. Michigan Road, Zionsville, IN 46077.
