EAST LIVERPOOL – Nancy L. Fridley, of East Liverpool, passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday, November 15, 2025. She was 79 years old.
Born on August 28, 1946, in Portland, Ohio, Nancy was the daughter of the late Finley and Lucy Powell. She spent her life working in local pottery and volunteered in her community. Nancy was an active member of the Eastern Star, the Eagles Club, and the Loyal Order of Moose. She loved playing in the APA pool league and the women's inner-city pool league, enjoyed card games, and occasionally tried her luck at the slots. A devoted Steelers and Pirates fan, Nancy brought enthusiasm and joy to everything she did. She had a special love for her grandchildren and cherished the companionship of her dogs, Foxy and Chico.
She will be deeply missed by her beloved husband of 45 years, Dempsey Fridley Jr.; her daughter, Loretta Anderson; her sons, Finley "Buddy" Anderson and Dempsey "DJ" Fridley III; her grandchildren, Brooke, Blake, Nicole, Cody, Molly, Laken, and Marina; and many great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her sisters, Geneva "Sissy" Johnson and Jean Evans, and her brothers, James Powell and Robert Powell.
Rev. Gary LeMasters will conduct a funeral service on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at the Dawson Funeral Home where friends may visit two hours prior to the service from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
