Nancy was born on February 10, 1953, in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Ralph Brown and Della (Reeves) Brown. She graduated from Stuart High School. She dedicated 30 years of her life working at McAlester Army Ammunition Plant, and serving the last few years as a supervisor at the demo/burning grounds. Her colleagues revered her for her leadership and steadfastness, and she left an indelible mark on the institution before her well-deserved retirement in 2010.
Nancy's heart found its match when she married her beloved husband, James Darell Kinslow, on December 14, 1985, in Blocker, Oklahoma, and he preceded her in death in 2010.
A woman of many interests, Nancy found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was an avid golfer, relishing the challenge of the game and the camaraderie of her fellow players. She loved to be in the garden or out on the lake fishing. Nancy's enthusiasm for sports extended to the stands, where she was a constant presence, cheering on her grandchildren as they played ball and was a devoted fan.
Nancy's love for speed and precision was reflected in her fascination with NASCARS, which was a Sunday hobby that brought her immense excitement and a sense of connection to the thrill of the race.
Nancy's legacy is one of love, commitment, and joy. She touched the lives of many with her kindness and would help others before taking care of herself. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive in the stories shared by those who knew her best.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, Ralph A. Brown and Della (Reeves) Brown; her husband, James Darrell Kinslow; a sister, Lora Reddick and brother-in-law, Jim Reddick; and a nephew, Brian Wimberly.
Nancy is survived by Jerry Turner of the home her son, Phillip Carter of the home: her daughter, Kristen Carter of Atoka; grandchildren, Bayle Shepherd and husband, Bowdee of Bromide, Phoenix White of Atoka, Cannon White of Atoka, Lannie Carter of Oklahoma City, Katie Carter of Oklahoma City, Teagan Carter, Rangler Carter, Timber Carter, Copper Carter all of Sallisaw; great-grandchildren, Carter, Hadlee, Kaislee of Bromide, Eslaya, Denver and Enzo of Oklahoma City; sisters, Patricia Wimberly and her husband, Dewey of Stuart, Sherry Howell and her husband, Roger of Stuart, and Clora Patocka and her husband, Bill of Enid; a brother, Benny Brown of Stuart; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
