Nancy Kishel Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Howard J. Snowdon Funeral Home on Jun. 26, 2025.
Nancy A. Kishel, 77, of Scranton passed away Sunday evening June 22, 2025 at Allied Skilled Care. She was the widow of Frank Kishel, Jr. who passed away in 2014.

Born October 15, 1947 in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Adella (Paswinski) Kansavage. Nancy was a longtime member of Mary Mother of God (Holy Rosary Church) in Scranton. Nancy loved her bingo, casino trips and spending time with her wonderful friends and family. She always lit up the room with her laughter and appreciation for life, always helping and caring for others. We certainly cannot forget how Nancy loved a good party and loved to dance. Her family meant everything to her, especially her grandchildren.

Nancy will finally be reunited with the love of her life, her husband Frank who she has dearly missed for the past 11 years.

Surviving is her daughter Jacqueline A. Monahan, and husband Patrick of Spring Brook Twp.; her son Mark F. Kishel, and fiancée Anita Segilia of Moscow; two grandchildren: Patrick Monahan, and wife Emily of Savage, MD, and Maura Froelick and husband Matthew of Spring Brook Twp.; her sister Dolores Decker of Spring Brook Twp. and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband Nancy was preceded in death by her granddaughter Meghan Monahan, and her brother Edward Kansavage.

A Mass of Christian burial will be conducted Saturday at 8:30 a.m. in Mary Mother of God Parish, 316 William Street, Scranton, PA.

Interment will be conducted at Fairview Memorial Park to follow the Mass.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
