Nancy J (Auernhamer) Klopf, 83 of Vassar, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 17, 1941, in Saginaw, daughter of the late Steven and Margaret (Marx) Marovich. Nancy was a 1959 graduate of Vassar High School. On December 5, 1959, she married Glen Auernhamer in Vassar. Together they raised four children. He preceded her in death in 2009. Nancy was a homemaker for most of her life. She was also employed at Mallory's restaurant in Richville, receptionist at Dr. Shelp Elming Martin's office and in Human Resources at Grede foundry until her retirement. October 24, 2012, she married Robert Kolpf, and together they blended their families, he preceded her in death in 2015.
She was always on the go and helping people, running the roads all day long, visiting family and friends. In her down time, Nancy enjoyed tending to her flower garden, canning food and spending time in Caseville with family and friends.
Nancy is survived by her children, Kirk (Lisa) Auernhamer, Karen (Paul) Collier, Michael Auernhamer and Brenda (Kip) Keinath; grandchildren Carl (Jenny), Ryan, Michael, Jon, Adam, Lauren, Amanda (Ryan), Lance (Nicole), Shila (Joe); great grandchildren Jaxson, Lucy, Aiden, Jackson and Kenzleigh, bonus daughters Kim (Doug), Tracy (Ed), Jackie (Jeff) and their families, many nieces and nephews and extended family and friends. She is also survived by her sister Margaret Somerville. Nancy was predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law Steve and Marlene Marovich and sister and brother-in-law Betty and Grover Ankney.
Nancy's family whishes to thank Wellspring Hospice staff Deb, Rachel, Jodi, Megan and Chaplin Mark Auernhamer for their care and support.
Funeral Services will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at St. Michael's Lutheran Church in Richville. The Auernhamer/Klopf family will receive friends at the Ware Smith Woolever Funeral Home in Reese on Monday, January 6, 2025, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Memorials may be made to St. Michael's School or the donor's favorite charity.
