Nancy Lee Ladwig
Resident of Schaumburg for 8 years
Nancy Lee Ladwig, peacefully passed away September 13th, 2025 in Schaumburg, Illinois.
Nancy was born in Chicago on January 17,1943 where she grew up with her parents and brother and later lived with her husband Rich raising their two sons Jeffrey and Marc. They had many business ventures from running their tavern to owning rental buildings throughout their Wicker Park/East Village neighborhood. There were lots of adventures during those years and eventually she moved with her son Jeffrey to Schaumburg in 2017.
Nancy was loyally devoted to her family throughout her life. Her granddaughters were her biggest blessing, giving her so much joy. Specially making memories together on the Florida vacations they shared.
After tragically losing her son Jeffrey 8/31/23, Nancy spent the remaining two years of her life lovingly cared for by her son Marc. They shared laughs and memories, hot lunch Fridays and delicious meals made by her wonderful friend and neighbor, Cheryl. She loved her chats with her brother Russell and daughter-in-law Mary, holidays with family and exchanging funny texts and photos with her granddaughters. This was a peaceful and happy time for Nancy.
She is survived by her son Marc (Mary) Ladwig, granddaughter's Molly and Grace Ladwig. Brother Russell (Christine) Mick, Jason (Amy) Josh (Gina) Justin (Kristin) Mick. Seth, Ryan, Gavin, Khloe, Kadence Mick. Hailey, Nick Falat, grand-dog Bessie, great-grand cats Jamie, Suzie, Oscar and Otis Ladwig.
Preceded in death by her loving husband Richard Ladwig, cherished son Jeffrey Ladwig, loving parents Ben and Dolores Mick.
