Nancy Pauline Michelsen, daughter of the late Evertt Paul and Agnes (Rowlett) Montgomery was born on October 8, 1940 in Sikeston, Missouri and departed her life on Monday, June 19, 2023 at the age of 82 years.
She was a former co-owner of Michelsen Grocery in Morley, Missouri, Bank teller, but what she enjoyed most of all was being a mother. Nancy was a member of the First Baptist Church in Oran, former resident of Oran, but currently living in Scott City.
On December 7, 1958 she was united in marriage to Lloyd E. Michelsen in Chaffee, Missouri. Mr. Michelsen preceded her in death on July 14, 2018.
Survivors include two daughters, Lisa (Rick) Walter of Scott City and Kimberly Michelsen of Springfield, Missouri; one son, Eric (Valerie) Michelsen of Omaha, Nebraska; five brothers, Homer Montgomery of Jackson, Missouri; Robert Montgomery of Ohio; Cecil Montgomery of Benton, Missouri; Larry Montgomery of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and Steve Montgomery of Chaffee, Missouri; one sister, Martha Jane McMillian of Park Hills, Missouri; five grandchildren, Natalie Walter Buell, Trent Walter, Seth Walter, Erica Michelsen Renes, and Nathan Michelsen; also by fourteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023 from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran. Funeral service will then be conducted at 11:00 A.M with Rev. Nathan Michelsen officiating. Interment will follow in the New Morley Cemetery.
