Memorial services for Nancy Kay Edwards Pugh, 78, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 11 a.m., Saturday, October 5, 2024, at First United Methodist Church, Grand Saline, with Bro David Crain officiating, under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Pugh passed away Thursday, September 26, 2024, in Tyler. She was born November 6, 1945, in Beaumont, to Oliver Linwood "Eddy" and Ruth Catherine Wallace Edwards. Nancy graduated from Lake Highlands High School, Class of 1964. She attended Tyler Junior College for 2 years and then received her bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Austin. She taught 6th grade science at Big Springs Elementary for Richardson ISD for several years. On July 11, 2009, she married Marion Perry "Mutt" Pugh, Jr. at the First United Methodist Church, Grand Saline. She was the Texas Representative of the National Junior Beta Club for many years and a member of First United Methodist Church of Grand Saline. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Tommy Edwards; and son-in-law, Kurt Marshall.
Survivors include her husband of 15 years, Marion Perry "Mutt" Pugh, Jr. of Grand Saline; son, Matthew Scott Hines of Seattle, WA; daughter, Andrea Hines Marshall of Seattle, WA; and brother, O.L. Edwards of Scottsdale, AZ; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Thomas and Sam Pugh of Grand Saline and Harry and Emily Clifford of Grand Saline; nephew, Travis Clifford and wife Susan of Aledo; great-nephew and great-niece, Jaxson and Harley; and numerous other relatives and friends.
