Nancy Virginia (Morris) Sutton Ayden - Nancy Virginia Morris Sutton, 94, passed away Friday, February 13, 2026.

The funeral service was held Tuesday at 2 PM in the Farmer Funeral Chapel. Entombment was in the Mausoleum at Pinewood Memorial Park. The family received friends prior to the service from 1 PM until the funeral hour at Farmer Funeral Home.

Nancy was born and raised in Greene County and lived most of her adult life in the Ayden community. She worked for many years at Edwards Pharmacy in Ayden and later worked at Belk Department Store in Greenville. She, along with her late husband, was a member of Salem United Methodist Church. Since his passing, she has attended First Baptist Church of Ayden. Nancy loved flowers, going shopping, and was an excellent cook. We will all miss her delicious desserts! She had a heart of gold and loved everyone she met. She always had a kind word to share about others.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Joe T. Sutton; parents, Otho and Lela Morris; a great-granddaughter, Lynnley-Grace Howard Sutton; and all of her siblings, Mae, Lois, Sybil, Lela, Bela, Dee, Earl, Harry Lee, and O.W.

She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Sutton McLawhorn (Kenny), and Jo Ann Sutton Wier (Michael); son, Barry T. Sutton (Lori Jo), all of Greenville; grandchildren, Jason McLawhorn (Melissa), Jesssica McLawhorn Manning (Ben), all of Greenville; Tyler Wier of Boone, Chandler Sutton (Madison), of Ayden, and Cole Sutton (Michelle), of Columbus, OH; granddaughter-in-law, Brittney Wier of Ayden; and great-grandchildren, Cameron, Diana, Bryson, Brooke, Jaxson, and Hayden.

The family would like to thank Nancy's neighbors and church family for their loving support.
