Nellie was a law librarian by profession, she had a true penchant for reading both her books and her bible, Nellie loved her Lord and Savior. She was known as a fiercely creative individual. Nellie loved cooking wonderful meals, decorating cakes, and watching birds; but above all else, she loved spending time with her family.
Mrs. Nellie Marie Boring (McCord) is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Margaret Jewel McCord; beloved son, Mark Hodges; brother Donnie McCord; and by her former husband, Ken Boring. She is survived by her sons, Tim Hodges and wife Sonia, Kenny Boring and wife Kim, Paul Boring, David Boring and wife Kara, and Daniel Boring and wife Angela; daughter, Cyndi and Greg Heinritz; former husband, Gordon Hodges; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Ruth Phillips; as well as by a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends too numerous to mention.
Cremation arrangements for Mrs. Nellie Marie Boring (McCord) are entrusted to Beasley-Wood Funeral Home. Services will be held Sunday, April 27, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., at The Crossing church in Mena, Arkansas.
