It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Nen-Chin Liu, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother. Born on December 28, 1956 in Taipei, Taiwan, Nen-Chin lived a remarkable life of dedication, leaving a profound legacy.
Nen-Chin earned his Doctor of Philosophy from North Carolina State University in 1987. As a dedicated materials engineer, he made significant and innovative contributions to his field internationally. Beyond his professional achievements, Nen-Chin had a passion for learning, science, and discovery. He cherished the moments spent exploring the world and indulging in his interests with family and dear friends. Known for his calm demeanor, patience, humility, and resilience, he was a true pillar of strength.
Nen-Chin was lovingly surrounded by his family at the time of his passing on January 8, 2025, his mother and father welcoming him with open arms. He is survived by his devoted wife, Wen-Mei Liu, beloved children, Eugene and Jenny Liu, cherished grandchildren, and brother, Ling-Chin Liu.
As we remember Nen-Chin, we celebrate a man who embodied wisdom. His spirit will continue to resonate in those he leaves behind, guiding them through life's journeys and encouraging them to face each day with the same optimism and resilience he exemplified.
