Nicholas Koriakin Obituary

Born on January 7, 1946, in Los Angeles, California, Nicholas graduated from Paulsboro High
School in 1964 and went on to earn his Bachelor of Arts degree from Rutgers University in 1969.
Nicholas was known for his warm spirit, generous heart, and unwavering love for his family. For many years, he brought joy to his community by hosting his church's annual talent show.
A devoted Chicago Bears fan, he proudly held season tickets for over 45 years. He and his beloved wife, Bette R. Koriakin, shared a passion for cruising and exploring new places. One of Nicholas's greatest personal achievements was visiting all 50 U.S. states. In the final year of his life, he fulfilled a lifelong dream by building a log cabin in East Tennessee, where he spent his last 10 months surrounded by the beauty of the Smoky Mountains and the comfort of home.
Nicholas was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Bette R. Koriakin. He is survived by his
daughters, Veronica Downs and Monika Espendez; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a fifth great-grandchild expected soon; and his beloved little dog, Dexter, who remained faithfully by his side. His love, laughter, and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
A private family service will be held at a later date.

Nick will be greatly missed. He truly enjoyed life with family and friends. He loved and welcomed everyone like family. My children adored him. He would frequently attend Grandparents day at school and the many sports events throughout the years.
When my mother´s health declined, he was always by her side taking care of her day and night. He will always be remembered in our hearts as a generous, selfless, loving person.

Cousin Nick will be missed by family and friends. He was truly one of the good guys in this world and never missed a chance to give a kind word to those he loved.

Nick was a ray of sunshine! He was a wonderful grandfather to my children! I will always cherish his silly dad jokes, and spirited conversations about our favorite football teams. I can still hear him saying one of his favorite expressions "HOOWAH"
