Nicholas Vito "Nick" Morgese

Nicholas Vito Morgese "Nick" passed away January 26, 2024 after a brief illness. He was born in Brooklyn on November 23,1936 to Canio and Antoinette Morgese. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Airforce & US Army having served for twenty two years. He was employed by Continental Can and Ganz Brother' s in New Jersey, he was a draftsman and he had several patents for machine parts and cartons. He also was employed by the Rockland County Hwy Department before his retirement. He was employed by the Village of West Haverstraw, he was the Chairman of the Planning Board and a member of the Zoning Board. He was a Volunteer Fireman with General Warren Emergency Company #2,in Haverstraw, NY. He is survived by his devoted wife of sixty years, Nancy Elizabeth ( McCabe) Morgese, his loving children; Robert J. Morgese, Mary Elizabeth Schulok and husband Chris. Also seven cherished grandchildren; Jessica Schnopp and husband Patrick, Sarah Schulok, Emily Morgese, Samantha Worum and husband Johan, Nicholas J. Morgese, Kathryn Morgese and Robert C. Morgese, also two adored great grandchildren, Austin and Jolie Schnopp. Nick is also survived by many nehews, nieces and brother in law and Best Friend John F. McCabe Jr. "Jack". and his wife Lynn. Nick is predeceased by his son, Nicholas C. Morgese and sister Grace Schultz. Nick's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM, Friday, February 2, 2024 at St. Peter's and St Mary's Church, 115 Broadway, Haverstraw, New York 10927. Burial will follow with Military Honors at St Peter's Cemetery, Haverstraw, NY 10927. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations in loving memory of Nicholas Vito Morgese may be made to the American Heart Association.
