Obituary of Nicolas "Nick" Todd Beckman

Nicolas "Nick" Todd Beckman, age 60, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 8, 2025 from cardiac complications. He was born November 29, 1964 at Swedish Hospital in Minneapolis, MN to Leburn "Lee" and Carol Beckman. He graduated from Anoka Senior High School where he played on the soccer team and at one point held the record of back to back goals in 26 seconds.

Nick was part of the Local Union #34 Heat and Frost Insulators for over 30 years. Outside of work, Nick spent his life playing and enjoying golf. He taught his three daughters the beautiful game and would often enjoy outings throughout the years with his family. He called the group with his three daughters and himself "The Perfect Foursome". He also enjoyed many rounds with his golf buddies at Rum River Hills where he learned the course like the back of his hand. In 1999, he won the 2nd flight Men's Club Championship at Rum River Hills. As his daughters grew up, his passion was teaching them all about sports and coached soccer for many years. Some additional hobbies included poker, watching old North Star Hockey games and afternoon naps with Sophie, the cat.

He was survived by his parents Lee and Carol Beckman; brother, John Beckman; children Alyssa (Brenden) Dowd, Kaitlin Beckman (Jordan Fasching) and Megan Beckman; grandchildren Gavin and Colton Dowd; along with many other family and friends.

Friends, family and others whose lives Nick impacted are invited to Greenhaven Golf Course, 2800 Greenhaven Road, Anoka, Minnesota 55303 (763-576-2970) from 3pm-6pm on Wednesday September 17th, 2025, to reminisce, share some memories, grieve and support each other.
