Nicole Jean Johnson

Nicole Jean Johnson, 51, of Gas City, passed away at 6:50 am on Saturday, November 1, 2025, in her home.
Born on November 11, 1973, in Marion, Indiana, Nicole was the beloved daughter of Thomas and Deborah (Strausbaugh) Sheren. She was married to Michael Johnson, who survives her.
Nicole devoted her life to her family as a loving homemaker. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her children and grandchildren, whose lives she enriched with warmth and care. In her younger years, Nicole found happiness in photography and playing billiards--hobbies that reflected her creative and spirited nature.
She is survived by her mother, Deborah Sheren of Marion; her husband, Michael Johnson of Gas City; her daughter, Leah (Alfonso) Amaya of Florida; her son, Micah Johnson of Marion; and her cherished grandchildren: Michael Elijah Johnson, Anniyah Johnson, Angel Amaya, Calvin Amaya, and Noah Amaya.
Nicole also leaves behind her siblings: Tammy (Jeffery) Mooneyham of Newport, Tennessee; Tina Thompson of New Mexico; Thomas Sheren of Ohio; Derrick Sheren and Dustin Sheren, both of Virginia; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas D. Sheren; her daughter, Kayla Johnson; and her brother, Jeremy T. Strausbaugh.
At Nicole's request, there will be no public visitation or funeral service.
