Conway...... Noah Henry "Buck" Allen, age 72, passed away on Monday, April 22, 2024.
Mr. Allen was born in Conway, a son of the late Noah Amos and Janie Maye Worley Allen. He attended Jamestown Baptist Church and was a member of Horry Masonic Lodge #381. Prior to retirement, Mr. Allen taught school at West Conway/Whittemore Park Middle School from 1981 - 1983. He then taught at Conway High School from 1983 - 2016, where he coached football, girls and boys golf and tennis. He loved Clemson football, Conway football, playing golf, cooking for others, and spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. Mr. Allen was a member of two mission trips, to Honduras and Belize.
Surviving are: his wife, Velna Key Allen of Conway; his children, Jenna Allen Mason (Dominic Eric Mason) of Conway and Brennan Noah Allen (Alexis Marie McNabb) of Myrtle Beach; two grandchildren, Elijah Avery Mason and Emma Grace Mason; and three sisters, Shelby Hardee and Betty Filyah, both of Conway, and Hattie Prochaska (John) of Myrtle Beach.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday from Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel with Rev. Robbin King officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Thursday.
