Norbert Dennis Obituary
Norbert J. Dennis, 88 of Edinboro, died Sunday, March 30, 2025 at Edinboro Manor. He was born in Huntington, WV on April 29, 1936, the son of the late Stephen and Anna Dennis.
Norbert was a 1954 graduate of Butler High School. He served in the Marine Corp during Korea. He earned a bachelor's degree from Slippery Rock University and masters' degree's from both Penn State and Kent State Universities. He taught math at Grove City High School and was a math and computer science professor at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.
Norbert enjoyed gardening and woodworking. He was a member of American Legion Post Post #439 and the Marine Corp League.
He is survived by three sons, John (April) Dennis and Chad (Mary) Dennis, both of Cambridge Springs, and Paul (Michelle) Dennis of Erie; a sister, Sandra Jean Dennis Diana of Boardman, OH; seven grandchildren, Anthony (Natalia) Dennis, Julia (David) Nainiger, Eli (Alexandria) Dennis, Joshua Dennis, Jake Dennis, Ethan (Maria) Dennis and Alec Dennis; and two great grandchildren, Evan and Lilah Dennis.
No services are planned at this time. The Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Edinboro, is entrusted with arrangements.
Burial will be private in Erie County Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the Edinboro American Legion Post #439, 200 Fairway Dr., Edinboro, PA 16412 . To send condolences please visit www.gluntfuneralhome.com.
