Norma J Hall MAY 27, 1931 – APRIL 4, 2025 "Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend." Born May 27, 1931 in Fowlerville, MI, to the late Roy and Bessie (Rickett) Horton, and passed away on April 4, 2025 at the age of 93. Norma Jean (Horton) (Bohnett) Hall peacefully passed from this Earth into Heaven with her family by her side on Friday, April 4, 2025, at the age of 93. Norma was a former cheerleader and graduate of Fowlerville High School, Class of 1950, and a life-long member of the Conway United Brethren Church (later known as the "Fowlerville United Brethren Church"). Norma worked at various part-time jobs throughout her life, including the Variety Store in Fowlerville, MI, where she was loved by both patrons and co-workers alike. Norma spent most of her 93 years as a homemaker and beloved mother of four children, including sons Gregory (Veronica) Bohnett of Nicholasville, KY, David (Leslie) Bohnett of Howell, MI, and daughters Susan Bohnett-Holmes of Lansing, MI and Julie (John) Rocholl of Cumming, GA. Norma grew up and lived in Fowlerville from the time of her birth in 1931 until 2009, when she moved in with, and in her later years was lovingly cared for by, her son David and daughter-in-law Leslie (McArthur) Bohnett, until her death on April 4, 2025, at their home in Howell, MI. In addition to her children, "Grandma" ("Grandma Buffy") ("Gam-Gam") will be lovingly remembered as "the sweetest ol' gal on the block" by her 10 grandchildren, including: Andrea (Michael), Benjamin, Bradley (Melissa), Christopher (Alicia), Daniel (Ashlee), Dennis (Kelley), Douglas (Sara), Tessa (Ben), Alexander (Alyson), and Brooke (Christopher); additionally, "Great-Grandma" (aka "Gigi") will be dearly missed by her 19 great-grandchildren, all of whom were the light of her life, including: Cayden (16), Logan (12), Mollee (11), Hayden (10), Jace (8), Emersyn (8), Jackson (8), Harper (8), Evelyn (8), Liliana (6), Mason (6), James (6), Jack (5), Liam (5), Bryce (4), Blake (3), Lucy (15 mos.), Avery (8 mos.), and Cole (7 mos.). Norma is survived by her much-beloved sister, Helen (Mailand) Athy of Lansing, MI; step-children Craig, Pat, Chris, Cathy, and Pam (Schoettle) Hall; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by Gerald Bohnett, Robert Hall and Peggy Hall; brothers Harold (Evelyn) (Mary) Horton, George (Margaret) Horton, and Howard (Virginia) Horton; sister Alice (Clifton) Hickey; nephews and nieces Gerald Horton (1947-1949), James Horton, Doug Athy and Marilyn Horton; as well as her beloved parents, Roy D. and Bessie M. (Rickett) Horton. Norma's faith and her love for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was an important part of her life and evident to everyone who knew her. She humbly served God with gentleness, kindness, love and grace all the days of her life, while at the same time teaching by example her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren to do the same. A more beautiful and loving example of a "Godly Christian Woman" would be difficult to find, and her children feel blessed they had the privilege of calling her "Mom." Family and Friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life gathering on Saturday, June 7, 2025, anytime between the hours of 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at Herrmann Funeral Home, located at 1005 E. Grand River Avenue, Fowlerville, Michigan.
