Norma Jean Isreal, age 90, of Jackson, Ohio, died Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at her home.
She was born May 27, 1934, in Oak Hill, Ohio; a daughter of the late Trafford and Estella Dunn. She worked at the Hercules Trouser Company in Wellston, Ohio for 42 years. She was a member of the Good Shepherd Church, in Jackson, Ohio and loved volunteering for many years in local organizations and her church. She also loved traveling.
Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Jackie Dean Isreal, whom she married on September 29, 1961. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Gary Lowell Dunn, Gordon Dunn, and David Dunn, as well as two sisters, Donna Wise and Juanita Boggs.
Surviving is one daughter, Sherri Christian, and a very special son-in-law, Wayne Christian. Also surviving are grandchildren, Nathan Christian, Mitchell Christian, and Brittany Benedict; great grandchildren, Brayson Benedict, and Aspen Benedict. Also surviving are many nephews, nieces, and friends.
Visitation hours will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 11-1 at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home in Jackson, Ohio with a service to follow immediately after the calling hours. Rev John Hensler will officiate, and internment will follow in the Congregational Cemetery in Oak Hill, Ohio. Online condolences may be sent to .
