Norma Jean Ebert, 85, of Plainfield, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2025. She was born on April 11, 1940, in Anderson, IN, to the late Samuel and Eileen Southers. Norma was a benefits coordinator for 20-plus years at GM. She was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church, serving on the boards of the Friends of Plainfield Library Club and the Plainfield Garden Tour Club, as well as the Adult Formation Group at the Church, and the Norma Jean Club. Norma was a Purdue Extension Master Gardener. She enjoyed growing veggies and belonged to a book club. Norma was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Ebert; son Randy Davis and stepson Steven Ebert; brother, Carl Alt; and sister, Joyce McCurdy. Memorial services will take place on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at 1:00 pm. in St. Mark's Episcopal Church (710 East Buchanan Street, Plainfield, IN 46168). Survivors include her sons, Bobby (Cheryl) Ebert Jr., Greg (Stef) Davis; grandchildren, Matthew, Robert III, and Nicholas Ebert; daughter-in-law, Missy Ebert; and several nieces and nephews.
