Norman Colford Obituary

Oakland – Norman C. Colford, 92, of Oakland, died Friday, March 28, 2025, at Glenridge Nursing Home in Augusta after a brief illness.
Born in Winslow on August 16, 1932, he was a son of Arthur and Louise (Labbe) Colford. Norman was educated and lived in Fairfield during his adolescent years before moving to Oakland. He worked at Scott Paper Company his entire career as a Paper Machine Supervisor. He was a member of Waterville Country Club for several years and a member of the Elks Club for 30 years.
He is survived by his children; a daughter, Jane; and a son, Duane; as well the mother of his children, Jeannette (Rossignol) Colford.
Surviving are siblings, sister, Adeline Veilleux of Waterville; and, brother, Carroll Colford and his wife, Fern of Fairfield; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will take place at 9:00 AM on May 7, 2025 at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, 78 Grove Street, Waterville.
Arrangements are under the direction and care of Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm Street, Waterville. An online guestbook may be signed, condolences and memories shared at www.gallantfh.com
