Norman L Larsen Sr.

Norman L. Larsen, Sr., age 96 of Old Bridge passed away peacefully on Monday, August 18, 2025 at Reformed Church Home in Old Bridge. Born and raised in Edison, Norman married and spent much of his life in Morgan before settling in Old Bridge 15 years ago.

A devoted family man, Norman worked tirelessly to provide for his loved ones. He retired after 30 years as a steel worker at Somerset Technologies in Manville and after 45 years from Pathmark in Old Bridge. He proudly serviced his country as a US Army Veteran during the Korean War and was a member of the Morgan First Aid Squad.

Norman's life was a testament to his work ethic and love for his family. He worked seven days a week but always made time to bring his family to Church on Sundays. He was a skilled wood worker, he liked to go fishing, crabbing and camping with the boys, enjoyed traveling with friends, but above all, he loved spending time with his loving wife of 72 years, Barbara, and his family.

Norman is predeceased by his parents, Hans and Idella Larsen, his siblings, Edgar, Alfred and Elaine Larsen, his daughters Karen Oliver and Sharon Martinelli, his sons-in-law, Brian Hopper and Joe Martinelli, his grandchildren, Jeffrey and Kaitlin Pitti and his beloved wife, Barbara Larsen, who passed on April 4, 2025.

Surviving are his children and their spouses, Larry and Mary Ellen Larsen of Wernersville, PA, Marlene and Bill Engh of Old Bridge, Nancy and John Pitti of Zebulon, NC, Penny and Ron Heaney of Sayreville, James and Michelle Larsen of Bethlehem, PA, Robin Miller of Levittown, PA, Tricia and Curtis Marcellin of Howard Beach, NY, and Robert and Kate Larsen of Matawan; 25 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; his son-in-law, Wayne Oliver; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

A Funeral service will take place on Friday, 11am at Maliszewski Memorial Home, 121 Main St, Sayreville, NJ 08872 with a private cremation to follow.

Calling hours will be Thursday from 4pm to 8pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Normans name to Reformed Church Home, 1990 Rt 18 North, Old Bridge, NJ 08857.
