Norman A. Lefevre
Bay City, Michigan
Our loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother passed away Sunday, March 3, 2024, at Toni & Trish House, age 91. He was born July 3, 1932, in Bay City to the late Raymond and Jeanne (Talbot) Lefevre. Norman was the first graduating class from Visitation High School in 1951, where he was the Valedictorian and in the Honor Society. He proudly served his country with the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He married the love of his life Patsy L. Nelson on June 29, 1957, at Visitation Catholic Church and she survives him. He retired from the Dow Chemical Company in Midland in 1986 after 35 years of dedicated service as a Senior Research Chemist. Norman and Patsy were founding members of St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, where Norman ushered until its' closure. Norman and Patsy would then join Our Lady of Peace Parish-St. Mary's Church. He enjoyed photography, watching the Detroit Tigers with Patsy and facilitating woodworking projects, especially with his grandchildren. Norman even built his own home with a little help from his relatives. He was immensely proud of his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren for all the accomplishments and successes they achieved over the years.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Patsy, four children: Jeanne (Armand) Armstrong, Chris (Sallyann) Lefevre, Jacqueline (Nicholas) Alfano, and Mary Kay (Joaquin) Luna, eleven grandchildren: Brandon (Sarah) Armstrong, Sean Armstrong (Kholene Hassler), Jack Lefevre (fiancé Caitlin Rhodes), Forest (Billi) Lefevre, Anna (Ryan) Haddox, Marissa (Tanner) Markusic, Nicholas Alfano (fiancé Paige Hammis), Rebecca Alfano, Gabrielle (Casey) Redfield, Mitchell (Megan) Mynatt, Gina Mynatt (fiancé Matt Roughton), two great grandchildren, Guinevere and Ronan, one sister Rita Dufresne, one brother Melvin (Sandy) Lefevre and a sister-in-law Mona Nelson. Norman was predeceased by his siblings: Joseph Lefevre, Lloyd Lefevre, Marie Schubert, Leonard (Patricia) Lefevre, in-laws: Edward (Jennie) Nelson, Otis (Eva June) Nelson, Richard Nelson, Celia Graham, Bernice (Silas) Mathews, Harry (Mary) Nelson and Beverly Nelson.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, March 14, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Peace Parish-St. Mary's Church, 607 E. South Union Street, Bay City, MI 48706. Fr. John Sarge will celebrate Mass. Interment will be in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Family and friends will gather at church on Thursday, March 14th from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Toni & Trish House in Auburn.
