NUNZIO MASONE JR., 91, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at Centra State Medical Center in Freehold Twp., NJ. Nunzio was born in the Bronx, NY, and lived in Manalapan, NJ before settling in Jackson Twp. 23 years ago.
Nunzio received his Bachelor of Science degree from Fordham University, and his MBA from New York University. He was a certified public accountant with the Department of Treasury in Trenton, NJ for 25 years before retiring in 2001.
He was a proud veteran having served in the United States Air Force.
Nunzio was predeceased by his wife, Carmela Masone in 2009; his parents, Nunzio and Maria Masone; and by his siblings, Joseph Masone, Pat Masone, Mary Conti, Lucy Fiore, Vincenza Fusco and Elizabeth Masone.. He is survived by his sons, Nunzio Masone and his wife, Nancy, Bob Masone and his wife, Robyn, and Michael Masone and his wife, Sarah; his daughters, Lisa Kearney and former son-in-law, Steve and Deb Pfennig and her husband, Mike; his 10 grandchildren, Christopher, Andrew, Gabrielle, Alyssa, Matthew, Ben, Jack, Nick, Luca, and Peyton; his brother, Rich Masone; and by his companion, Cathy Steinhandler.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Nunzio's visitation on Friday, January 24, 2025, from 4-8 PM at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ 08527. A funeral gathering will be offered at 8:30 AM on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at the funeral home. His Funeral Liturgy will follow at 9:30 AM at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 225 Ridgedale Ave., East Hanover, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nunzio's memory to the American Kidney Fund, 11921 Rockville Pk., Suite 300, Rockville, MD, 20852 and would be greatly appreciated.
