Ora Cassidy Obituary
Ora Lee was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank Cassidy Sr.; her parents, Thomas and Trula Jarnigan; and her daughter, Debbie Troutt.
She is survived by her son Frank Cassidy Jr. wife Dana; grandson Shawn Troutt wife Chelsae and children; grandson Cody Cassidy wife Chelsea and children; granddaughter Taylor Childress husband Curtis and children; granddaughter Lauren; her sweet dog Chloe. She is also survived by her sister Juanita Barnes; brother Harold Jarnigan; and several nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
Ora Lee was a devoted Southern Baptist whose faith was the foundation of her life. She was caring, loving, and bold, with a witty sense of humor and a stubborn streak that her family wouldn't have changed for anything. Her greatest joy came from her family, especially the time she spent playing with and loving on her great grandchildren.
Ora Lee showed her love in everyday ways-home cooked meals for those she cared about, always being there when her family needed her, and keeping her yard perfectly mowed. She was kind-hearted, strong-willed, and deeply devoted, leaving behind a legacy of faith, laughter, and unconditional love that will continue through the generations she cherished so dearly.
The family takes comfort in the promise of Scripture, "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul." - Psalm 23.
Ora Lee is now at peace, reunited with loved ones, and resting safely in the care of her Lord and Savior.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM on Sunday, January 18, 2026 at Bridges Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will follow at 6:00 PM, with Pastor Greg Hurst officiating. Family and friends will gather at 1:00 PM on Monday, January 19, 2026 at Bridges Funeral Home and go in procession to Roseberry Cemetery for a 2:00 PM Graveside Service.
