Ouida L. Bennett, age 79, a resident of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, August 18, 2025, at Mt. Pleasant Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born on June 9, 1946, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Ouida was the daughter of the late William Ballard and the late Elma Hood Ballard. She was married fifty years to Morris Ray Bennett before his passing on April 2, 2013. She was a devoted stay at home mother whose life revolved around her family and God.
She is survived by her children, Donald “Donnie” (Amanda) Bennett, Tonya Cooper, Lorena “Christine” Bennett, brother, Michael Ballard, nineteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Ronald Morris Bennett, Brian Keith Bennett, and siblings, Teddy Ray Ballard, Ernestine Ballard, Annie Mae Duncan, Audrey Ballard, Stella Portier, Paul Ballard, Lee Ballard, Ruth Maclin, Joey Ballard, Beverly Ballard, and Boyd Ballard.
The family will hold a memorial service at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
