She continued to support Holmes High School from which she graduated in 1951. She retired from Provident bank (now known as PNC) in 1998. She also played an active role at Madison Avenue Christian Church where she taught sunday school children from infancy through toddler years and volunteered at the annual rummage sale among other church activities.
She received the status of Kentucky Colonel in 1990
Padgee was a dog lover having cared for many throughout her life. She enjoyed sitting on the porch watching all the dogs and their owners on walks and giving them treats.
She is survived by her daughter Robin Wren Collins, grandson Christopher Wren, and granddaughter Elizabeth Wren along with many friends.
A viewing will be held Friday April 19 from 11am-12pm at Madison Avenue Christian Church with memorial service to follow. After the service, processional to the gravesite will follow to Highland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kenton County Animal Shelter or Madison Avenue Christian Church

I recall pretty little red headed Padgee Herndon waiting with us at 15th and Holman Sts. for the school bus going to Holmes High School in Covington. A sweet memory. A friend.
