Page Lewis Thomas

Page Lewis Thomas, 86, of Waverly, Virginia, passed away peacefully at home on February 8, 2026. She was the daughter of the late Guy Joseph Lewis and Annie Boykin Scott Jarratt. She was preceded in death by her sister, Sarah "Dottie" Ford Seeley.

She was a member of Waverly Congregational Christian Church. Page was a hairdresser for forty-six years and, after retirement, drove a bus for Sussex County Public Schools until the age of 82. She was very creative and loved making wreaths and arrangements, working in her flowers, and crocheting. Listening to music and dancing were her favorite pastimes. She was independent, free-spirited, and witty-a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, John Edward Thomas, Sr.; daughters, Lisa Harrup Epperson and her husband, Jeff, and Amanda Wills Holley and her fiancé, Richie Pond; grandchildren, Landon Epperson and Jacob Holley; sisters, Anne Ford Roebuck (Bob) and Evelyn Lewis; nieces and nephews, Robbie Hall Mayton (Jeff), Dale Scott White (Diane), Kimberly Britt Steele, and Tom Britt III (Dana); and a special cousin, Carey Brian Scott (Mary).

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Waverly Congregational Christian Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Waverly Cemetery.
