Paige McKenzie Jenkins, age 25, of Douglasville, passed away on July 16, 2023. She was born on May 28, 1998, in Sioux Falls.

Having earned her Bachelor's Degree at UGA in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a minor in Spanish activities and societies, Paige had an insatiable thirst for knowledge. She also was a national student in speech-language hearing association (NSSHLA). Throughout her academic journey, she made lasting connections with peers and mentors alike.

Paige was a gymnast and cheerleader. She was also known for her love of hiking and cooking. Her adventurous spirit led her to explore the world around her, always seeking new experiences. She found solace in the beauty of nature and cherished every opportunity to immerse herself in its wonders.

Additionally, Paige was an avid reader and writer. Through her words, she beautifully expressed her thoughts and emotions, leaving a lasting impact on those who had the pleasure of reading her work. Her creativity knew no bounds as she also enjoyed other forms of art like drawing, painting, pottery and crocheting.

One cannot speak of Paige without mentioning her beloved dog Paisley. Their bond was unbreakable, bringing joy to both their lives. The unconditional love they shared was evident to anyone who had the pleasure of witnessing their companionship.

Beyond her personal passions, Paige dedicated herself to being the glue of her family. She embraced her role as a family supporter wholeheartedly, providing love and encouragement to those she held dear. Her positivity was infectious and radiated brightly. In addition to being remembered for her remarkable career and personal achievements, Paige took great pride in being part of the ETA XI chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha as well as the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW). These organizations served as platforms for Paige to make meaningful contributions to causes close to her heart.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Susan Kranz.

Paige will be dearly missed by her surviving family and friends, including her father James Jenkins, mother Kristi Jenkins, sisters, Kecia (Waylon) Lewis, Maya Jenkins and Isabel Jenkins. She also leaves behind her cherished niece and nephew, Brayden and Caleigh, paternal grandparents, Jesse and Dorothy Jenkins, maternal grandfather, Charles Kranz, a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Their lives were forever enriched by Paige's love and guidance.

In lieu of flowers her family wishes that you plant a tree in her memory.

A visitation to honor Paige's memory will take place on July 24, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Jones-Wynn - Douglas Chapel in Douglasville, GA. This will be followed by a Funeral Service starting at 3:00 PM at the same location. The address for the chapel is 2189 Midway Road.
