Pamela Anne (Wysocki) Blasting passed away on July 24th, 2025. She was born in
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on June 24th, 1962. She was the pride and joy of her mother, Anna Mae, and her father, Watson, or Nick, as everyone called him. She would always say she had the best childhood. Pam was a Mama to her three angel babies. Two in Heaven, Brianna and Zachary, and one on Earth, Jocelyn.
Though Pam spent much of her adult life in Erie, PA, you knew she was born and raised in Pittsburgh by way of her "Pittsburghese". Pam spent the last ten years of her life in Pittsburgh, notably the last three years in Bethel Park, close to where she grew up. Though Pam was a trailblazer in the workforce, the job that she held closest to her heart was being a homemaker and raising her daughter. She loved her daughter more than life itself – they adored each other, shared the same sarcastic eyebrow raise, and were each other's favorite person. Pam was an amazing friend and offered unwavering support and kindness to those she trusted and who were part of her inner circle. It can't go without mention that Pam was a kind, patient, and loving dog mom her entire life, most recently being upgraded to the world's best Mimi to her beloved grand-dog, Mia, who she actually rescued.
Pam was a coffee enthusiast and a phenomenal cook. Whether it was baking chocolate chip zucchini bread or cooking homemade sauce for Christmas, if Pam was in the kitchen, she was in her happy place. Pam had an uncanny ability to fix almost anything and loved a good house project. Pam cherished any mother and daughter day spent shopping, enjoyed thrifting for her online shop, and ever since she was a child wearing her beloved red ruby slippers, Pam loved all things purses, fashion, and beauty. An animal lover, she adored the numerous deer that would visit her home and seeing a hummingbird made her day. Though Fall was special because of football Sundays, featuring the Steelers, Pam enjoyed the warmer months. A trip to somewhere by the water fed her soul and she loved the breath-taking sunsets in Erie.
"She believed she could, so she did." Pam was the definition of strength, bravery, and resilience. In the face of any adversity she persevered, stood back up, and showed by way of her unwavering spirit, integrity, and determination that anything was possible, and that light can be found in any darkness. Pam was brilliant, bold, caring, and loving, and she left an imprint on the hearts of all who were lucky enough to cross paths with her. Pam, her gorgeous and radiant smile, and the absolutely beautiful human being that she was, will be forever missed, but forever remembered and loved by so many.
Pam is preceded in death by her angel babies, Brianna Blasting and Zachary Blasting, and by her mother, Anna Mae (Novotny) Wysocki, and her father, Watson Wysocki. She is survived by her daughter, Jocelyn Blasting, and many friends and family.
There will be a celebration of life held on September 6th, 2025, in Erie, PA, for close friends and family.
