Pamela Denise Lyles

AULANDER, NC - Pamela Denise Newsome, a cherished and devoted homemaker, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2025, in Hertford County, North Carolina, at the age of 68. Born on February 1, 1957, in Stuttgart, Germany, Pamela's life was a tapestry woven with love, faith, and dedication to family.
She was a sworn in Marshal and worked several years in the government in Washington, DC. Pamela worked in numerous other capacities during her life as long as her health permitted.
A woman of unwavering faith, Pamela's heart was firmly anchored in her love for Jesus, which guided her throughout her life's journey. Her adoration for her family was boundless, and she took immense pride in every member, especially delighting in sharing stories and accomplishments of her beloved grandchildren.
Pamela welcomed all who entered her home with open arms, whether they were family, friends, or her treasured fur babies, whom she cared for deeply. Her creativity shone through in all aspects of her life, reflected in the countless shared moments and memories crafted with love.
In a life marked by deep familial bonds, Pamela was proudly connected to her heritage and cherished the closeness with her parents, especially being known as a "daddy's girl." Her presence will be dearly missed by those who survive her, including her children: Melissa Anne Pridgen of Ahoskie, Amanda-Nicole Randolph of Colerain, Patrick Aaron Hall of Virginia, and Keith Robert Lee Hall of Ahoskie. Pamela was also the proud grandmother to Mariah Chyann Randolph, Syneca Elijah Pharell Randolph, Shani Sierra Leone Pridgen, Kamya Love Urquhart, Calianna Erin Hall, Chase Alexander Hall, Isaiah Joelle Urquhart, and Tristan Sophia Rose Pridgen, and great-grandmother to Malayah Lovely Thompson and Micah Ky'Mani Thompson. Her memory will also live on through numerous cousins, extended family members, and friends.
Pamela is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Cornelia Ann Ellis Newsome and Robert Aaron Newsome, as well as her brother, Dickie Newsome.
A celebration of Pamela's life will be held at a later date, where friends and family will gather to honor her enduring spirit and cherished memories.
