Pamela Rose Ryden, 70, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away March 6, 2025 at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon. She was born December 10, 1954 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Charles Gerald and Shirley Joan (Littler) Snyder. Pamela married Charles Nells Ryden in 1985 in Eufala, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death in 1993.
Pamela is survived by her sons, James Snyder and wife, Tina of Mount Vernon and Travis Ryden of Texas; grandchildren, Kelsey Snyder, Austin Snyder, Evan Ryden, Kya Ryden, Angel Ryden, Seth Ryden, Blake Ryden, and Taryn Ryden; great-grandchildren, Isaiah Snyder and Lyric Ryden; siblings, Terry Snyder and wife, Nanette of Saint Rose, Illinois, Charles Snyder of California, Christina Webb and husband, Craig of Woodlawn, Illinois, and Cheryl Conyers and husband, Steve of Breese, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.
Pamela worked as a caregiver for the elderly, as well as a school bus driver. She loved animals and will be remembered as a compassion, caring, loving woman. Pamela will be dearly missed.
Per her wishes, Pamela will be cremated and no services will be held at this time. Memorials may be made in her honor to the Jefferson County Animal Shelter.
