George Patrick Grace (better known as Pat), 74, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday July 4th, 2024, in Fort Worth, TX. He passed away peacefully being surrounded by his loving family.
Pat was born on March 16th, 1950, to John and Pauline Grace in Fort Worth, Texas. He grew up in a large family as one of seven rambunctious children and cherished the mentorship of his father. After graduating Paschal High School, Pat enlisted in the United States Navy where he served four years as a Nuclear Propulsion Plant Operator during the Vietnam War. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal.
Pat's life was marked by a strong work ethic. He established a successful career in the foodservice industry as an award-winning sales manager for Ecolab and Preferred Marketing Group. An avid golfer, Pat could often be found playing a round of golf with friends and family (and usually beating all of them). He also enjoyed fishing, clay shooting, and restoring classic cars.
Pat's greatest passion was his family. He dedicated his life to making sure his children and grandchildren felt loved and supported. This included making sure he was the loudest voice and biggest fan at any type of school event, check in calls/visits just to let his family know he cared, being the first volunteer when a home project was needed, and having "Grampy Dates" with his grandchildren. He leaves behind a legacy of love that will live on in the hearts of his family.
Pat was predeceased by his father John, mother Pauline, brother John Grace Jr., and sisters Priscilla Grace and Jeannine Harbison. He is survived by his sisters Constance (Connie) Grace, Milissa (Lisa) Grace, and Sallie Hodges, his sons Jason, Brian, Nicholas, and Drew Grace, daughter Lindsay Russell, along with his grandchildren Hanna, Noah, Julia, Katie, William, and Lydia Grace.
Services will be held at Mountain Valley Funeral Home on July 18th, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Samaritans Purse, www.samaritanspurse.org.
