Dear circle that Pat traveled in and obviously shown bright and cared in. What a human he must have been. I did not know him but the accolades coming in on the radio today, not to mention every thing I read about him, well, though I didn't know him, he's already affected my life. To be such a connected, positive, and giving human as he clearly was to so many is hard to find these days. And hard to be. I wish I had known him, but I will think of Pat and hold what he has taught so many in my heart and in my mind, using his example and spirit to transcend the forces of modern life that are difficult. It sounds as though he cracked the code on the life safe wide open. How wonderful. I'm so sorry for your loss. How hard it is to lose anyone-losing such a person must be a gut wrench. But I have a feeling what he did, what he left with those that knew and loved him, is going to continue to bring gifts, again and again. Love to you all from Camden.

I met Pat many years ago as a member of the Maine Transportation Safety Coalition and knew him as a friend and a mentor. With his encouragement and support I became a AAA Safe Driver program instructor after I retired. I just learned of his death through the news article about the Windham basketball courts named in his honor. I can attest, he was all and more of the person they described. My sympathy to his family with assurances that for him, he has already mastered his wings and is watching over you.
