Patricia W. Beazer (nee Wirz), of Lansdale and a former resident of Norristown, passed away peacefully on Wednesday September 25,2024.
She was 96 years old. Born November 27, 1927 in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Alcide and Kathryn (nee Davis) Wirz, and the beloved wife of the late William E. Beazer, with whom she shared 64 years of marriage.
She was a graduate of Norristown High School Class of '45 and the Montgomery Hospital School of Nursing. Pat also worked for many years at her father's jewelry store A.L. Wirz Jewelers in Norristown where she became an expert at stringing pearls and other jewelry repair. She retired from the Fisher Scientific Company after a many years as an account manager.
Patricia had a talent and passion for sewing, cross-stitch, needle point and crocheting. She made beds for the cats that were up for adoption at the SPCA and Kitty Cottage so that they would have a comfortable spot to rest. Pat also was a docent at the Elmwood Park Zoo and could often be found during the zoo's special events roaming around holding a snake or two for the kids to pet. She knitted hats to donate to charities as well as baby blankets for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Patricia was the loving mother of Richard E. Beazer (Charlene), and the late Deborah Beazer, she was the devoted grandmother of Mark Urbanski (Kate), Cathy Green (Michael) and Melissa Joyce (Sean) and great grandmother of Henry, Alice, William, Chloe, and James.
Relatives and friends are invited to share in Patricia's Life Celebration on Friday October 4, from 10 AM to 10:50 AM at Boyd-Horrox-Givnish of East Norriton, 200 West Germantown Pike, 610-277-7000. Her Memorial Service will begin at 11 AM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Patricia's name can be made to the Montgomery County SPCA 19 E Ridge Pike, Conshohocken, PA 19428, or to the Kitty Cottage 317 W Johnson Hwy, Norristown, PA 19401.
