Patricia Allingham Carlson

Patricia (Pat) Marion Allingham Carlson, Bucks and Montgomery County artist and art teacher, and beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend, passed away early Sunday morning, September 10, 2023. She is survived by her husband, David, her children Lindsey (husband, Tom) and Adam (wife, Joy) her grandchildren, Quintin, Cassidy and Nathan, her sisters, Susan and Jeanne-Hannah, and her nephew and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Claire Carlson.
Pat was an accomplished and award-winning artist, with her mixed media watercolors selling all over the world and being used for book covers, television and theater sets. Most recently her original painting was selected as the signature painting for the Phillips Mill Juried Art Show in 2022. She exhibited and sold her work at art shows all along the Northeast from the time she graduated from Penn State University in 1976 until 2022.
In 1980, Pat opened her home art studio for private lessons. She taught hundreds of children and adults and watching her students grow and thrive through their art was a great joy for her. She cherished her students and teaching them.
Aside from her art, Pat was a volunteer, an outdoors enthusiast, camping all over the United States and Europe, and a talented gardener who strived to create beautiful landscapes with her husband David that were ecologically sustainable.
Her loss is devastating to her family, friends, students and the art community.
Her family will receive relatives and friends after 11:30 am, Monday Sept 18, 2023 in Baskwill Funeral Home, 20 W Montgomery Ave (half block west of York Rd) Hatboro, where her funeral service will be held at 12 noon. Interment will be held privately in Pine Grove Memorial Park.
