Patricia Cook Gadson
Sunrise July 3, 1949 - Sunset August 24, 2025
Pat also lovingly known as Patti Cakes was born and raised in the Olney section of Philadelphia, graduating from Olney HS in 1967.
Pat worked at Whitman Candies in the NE where she had many lasting memories and friends. Pat changed careers midlife and served as the Quality Assurance Manager at GPHA for almost 30yrs, a position in which she excelled and held much pride.
Pat enjoyed her weekends with family and friends. She loved watching the Philadelphia Eagles with wine and shrimp or being at the shore especially for her birthday in the summers. Her favorite spot was Chickie's and Pete's where you could find her sipping a Cosmo and breaking her crab legs. Pat not only survived but thrived after her Cancer diagnosis.
Proceeded in death by parents Willard J and Jayne Cook. Pat is survived by her two sons, Michael and Kevin (Kirsten) Hofkin, her granddaughters Nicole (Jason), Alex (Jullian) and Kylee and Great Grandson Vincent. Her two close nieces Melissa and Heather along with their families, her cousins and so many close friends especially Rose will miss her deeply.
Pat's grandchildren called her Grahm or Grahm Cracker. If "Patti Cakes" could pass on some final words to anyone, she would say, "Live life every day. Embrace every moment you have with family and friends; life is shorter than you think" Tip your glass and smile or maybe give her a shout back and just holler out "Patti Cakes" and make her smile.
