Marie Slinkard

With a heart heavy with love and fond memories, we announce the passing of Marie Slinkard, lovingly known as Mom, Mommom and Aunt Marie, on October 12, 2025. Born in Philadelphia, PA on March 30, 1929, Marie's life was a radiant beacon of resilience, love, and laughter. She was a woman of great faith, intellect, and an impeccable sense of humor that brought joy to all who knew her. Marie was a devoted homemaker, who made her home a sanctuary of warmth and affection for her family and friends. Throughout her life, she demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to her Catholic faith, which served as a guiding light and a source of strength for her.
Marie was an enduring pillar of strength and a steadfast source of wisdom to her family. She reveled in the simple moments of life, from the pleasure of texting her family to her love for the beach and ocean of North Wildwood. Marie was a compassionate listener, always ready to lend an ear and give advice about life choices, showcasing her smart and resilient nature.
Marie is survived by her loving children, Kristine Jonczak, Richard Slinkard, Jr, Robert Slinkard and his wife Mary; her treasured grandchildren, John "Ski" Jonczak (Jessica Lynn), Jessica Caulfield (Sean), Kaitlyn Slinkard, Jacqueline Slinkard, Robert Jr, and Michael Slinkard; and her great-grandchildren Ari, Tristan, Reece, Sophie, and Olive. She will also be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Mary Cronin; her beloved spouse, Richard Slinkard, Sr; and her great-grandson, Jack. Marie's spirit will continue to live on through her family, a testament to a life lived with unwavering love and faith.
Relatives and friends are invited to Marie's Mass of Christian Burial Friday, October 17, 2025, 11:00 am at St. Dominic R.C. Church 8504 Frankford Avenue. Following Mass Marie will be laid to rest in St. Dominic Cemetery with her beloved husband Richard.
