My beautiful Pat. My loving, sweet sister. I have so many precious memories of you that I will cherish for the rest of my life. I met you in 2004. You were my first field RN in home health. It was my first experience and you led me along and showed me the ropes. Oh goodness how we loved to talk for hours. When you would call me at night to give me a report on a new patient my husband would hear me mention your name and mouth, I´m going to bed. He knew.
We had many wonderful trips shopping all over Jacksonville.. the Goodwill, the thrift stores, the antique shops. All the times I came over and Tony and I sang karaoke for you. We had to sing all of your favorites. I will particularly cherish our trips to Dillards to stay in the chalet. I remember when I was in Charlotte, North Carolina and I was going over to Dillard when I left that assignment, I talked you into flying into Greenville South Carolina, so I could pick you up and we could go together, and even though you hated flying, you came. We had so much fun. I remember when we went to Dillard and it was still quite warm, but we had a fireplace so we turned down the air conditioner as low as it would go, just to light a fire and it was 90° outside. You and Tony welcomed my daughter and son-in-law and grandchildren into your lives with open arms. We all even went on vacation to Dillard together. Or we´d all come over to your house for karaoke. I will cherish every moment that I was lucky enough to spend with you and learn from you and laugh with you sometimes we laughed at each other. There is not a room in my house that has not been touched in someway by you. There´s a little bit of you in every room... little things you gave me over the years. And some big things, the buffet and the China cabinet that your dad rescued out of an old Victorian home in Springfield. An old desk. Miscellaneous furniture that you had run out of space for. My house kind of became overflow space for your stuff. I could write a book but words could never express my feelings for you, what you meant to me. I love you so much, and I will miss you every day. Rest in peace and I will see you again. I promise.
