Patricia "Pat" Ann Osborne, 83, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, died peacefully on June 1, 2025. Born on December 13, 1941, in Wellington, Kansas to Mark & Margaret Hardiman, Pat lived a life filled with love, kindness, and compassion.
Pat graduated from Wellington High School. She married the love of her life, Bill Osborne, on January 17, 1960, at First Christian Church in Wellington, Kansas. Together, they built a beautiful life, first in Council Grove, where they welcomed their children, Jeff and Jami, then in Liberal, Kansas, where they celebrated the birth of their youngest daughter, Julie, and later in Topeka, Kansas, where they resided for 49 years. Pat worked in the Document Room at the Kansas State Capitol and later for the Menninger Foundation, where she adored working and made lifelong friends.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Pat never forgot a birthday and always sent cards to her family - a small gesture that left a big impact. Her life was centered around caring deeply for those she loved. She raised her children with warmth and grace and later embraced the role of grandmother and great-grandmother with joy and pride. Pat often said that the years when she had all her children at home with her were the happiest of her life.
In later years, Pat visited her son Jeff daily, filled countless thermoses with coffee and lovingly packed lunches for Bill before his regular treks to the farm. She always hosted family gatherings around the holidays and welcomed everyone with a jar filled with chocolate chip cookies. She enjoyed cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs and KU Jayhawks.
After 65 years of marriage, Bill passed away on February 20, 2025. Now, just a few months later, they are together again. Pat was also preceded in death by her son, Jeff Osborne, parents, Mark & Margaret Hardiman, and brother, Earl Hardiman.
Pat is survived by her daughters, Jami Haines (Louie Skelton), and Julie (Paul) Pusloskie; six grandchildren, Michael (Allison) Haines, Candice (Taylor) Johnson, Jade (Malcom Nya), Sasha (Jesse Rivera), Max and Lex Pusloskie; two great-grandchildren, Curren and Hallie Johnson; and sister, Nancy Nelson. Also left to cherish her memory is their faithful pup, Bella.
A celebration of Pat's life will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Road, Topeka KS 66614. Committal service will be 1 p.m. in Greenwood Cemetery, 1020 W Main Street, Council Grove KS 66846.
Memorial contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels of Benton County, or NWA Circle of Life Hospice, or Helping Hands Humane Society in Topeka and sent in care of the funeral home.

Bill and Pat(Gracie) were my husband(Rick) and my Casino friends. We enjoyed their company and many conversations over dinners at the casino. I am sorry for your loss. Im glad we got to know them both.
