Originally from Wakefield, on December 9, 2023, Patrica Richards Patch was called home to be with our Lord. She was born in Stoneham, Massachusetts on May 31, 1944, to Mary and Fredrick Richards of 12 West Water St in Wakefield. She was the first-born child and only daughter of their four children. Patricia grew up in a close Italian American family. She attended St. Joseph's School, Nazareth Academy, and graduated from Fisher Junior College. She worked for Ealing Corporation in Stoneham as an educational film consultant and salesperson. Patricia married Chester J. Patch, III from Ipswich on June 28, 1969. They lived most of their married life in Houston, Texas before relocating to Northern California where she passed away unexpectedly. Patrica and Joe welcomed four children. She was a devout Catholic and dedicated her life to her husband, children and grandchildren.
A 45-year cancer survivor, she was tough as nails and yet had a personality that was lively, extremely generous and larger than life. She lived her life with Eternity always top of mind. She frequented the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass many times each week. She loved to pray the Rosary and spend time in Adoration. Her faith was the heartbeat of her life. As a cradle Catholic, her faith was at the heart of all she did. She lived her life for others and always with heaven in mind. Her generosity extended beyond her husband and children as she so often helped those in need.
Particia was extremely kind, generous, and dedicated to helping those less fortunate in any way that she could. She was an avid tennis player and golfer. She is survived by her husband, Chester, her children Chester J. Patch IV of Rogers, AK, John Patch of Kingswood, TX, Mark Patch of Fairfield, CA, Sarah Matthews (Patch) of Vacaville, CA, 18 grandchildren and one great grandson. She is survived by her brothers, Paul Richards of Centerville, MA, Philip Richards of Gloucester, MA and Peter Richards of Plaistow, NH and her first cousin, Steven Pizzuto of Ft Lauderdale, FL along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Patricia's funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Adelaide's Church, 708 Lowell St., Peabody, on Tuesday, January 9, at 10:30am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours for Patricia will be at the Campbell-Porter Funeral Home, 6 High St., Ipswich, on Monday, January 8, from 4:00-7:00pm. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery in Ipswich. Pat was the best. Her sense of humor, her manner, and her love. She helped all of us so much when our Mother passed. We will miss her forever. We will never forget her.

My dearest sister - you were the matriarch of our family and even though you were separated from us by distance your presence was always there with us. I know Mom and Dad were very proud of you the way you raised your kids and how you cared for them. You always showed the upmost compassion and support for the least among us on this Earth. You were the best big sister to me and I will always be very thankful for that. I know you are now united with Mom, Dad and all of our family in Heaven. Rest in Peace in Paradise and enjoy your just reward. Love, Peter
