Patricia Anna Tanguma, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2024, at her birthplace in Corpus Christi, TX. Born on January 6, 1958, Patricia lived a full and vibrant life, cherished by those who knew her. Her warm presence and joyful spirit will be profoundly missed by all the lives she touched.
Patricia was the heart of her family, a source of unconditional love and wisdom. She is preceded in death by her parents, Pedro H. Tanguma and Espedita Tanguma; her sister, Lucia Tanguma; and brothers, Peter Tanguma and Danny Tanguma. Her memory will be lovingly carried on by her son, Jose Tanguma (Amy), and her adored grandchildren, Christian, Jonathan, and Daniel. Her sisters, Janie Ruiz, Rosario Diaz, and Mary Garcia, will hold her close in their thoughts, as will her special nieces, Elaine Castro, and Eleanor Holquin, along with the many nieces and nephews who were fortunate to know her.
Patricia's life was one of joy and engagement with the world around her. She found pleasure in the simple things, whether it was playing a game of bingo with friends or cheering on her favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys. Her passion for music was evident to all who knew her, especially her love for the songs of Selena Quintanilla, which could often be heard playing throughout her home.
A cornerstone of her community, Patricia's kind nature and generosity knew no bounds. She was the kind of person who would offer a helping hand without a second thought, and her legacy of kindness has left an indelible mark on those around her. Her laughter was infectious, and her ability to find joy in every moment was an inspiration to many.
As we bid farewell to Patricia, we celebrate a life lived to the fullest. She was a woman of strength, compassion, and love-a true matriarch who brought people together and made the world a brighter place. Her spirit will continue to guide and comfort us, and her memory will be a beacon of light for generations to come.
In the quiet moments, we will find her in the laughter of her grandchildren, in the camaraderie of a bingo hall, and in the cheer of a football game. Her life was a melody, a symphony of love, laughter, and the warmth of shared experiences. Patricia Anna Tanguma will be dearly missed, but the love she shared will resonate forever in the hearts of her family and friends. Rest in peace, dear Patricia, until we meet again.
