Patricia Whalen Obituary

She was born on May 30, 1931, in Peoria, Illinois, a daughter of the late William and Dorothy Sullivan. Pat graduated from Academy of Our Lady in 1949. She married the love of her life Jerry on November 17, 1951. He proceeded her in death on August 18, 2004, also preceding her in death, Dorothy her infant sister.
Together they raised 4 children, Kathy (Bob) Cummings, John (Sandra) Whalen, Jay (Cathy) Whalen and Rob (Young) Whalen.
Pat worked as a secretary for Caterpillar and Thomas Klise Company.
She is survived by her children, 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and her sister Ruth Sholty.
Cremation rites have been accorded and a private family gathering will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial can be made to Illinois Cancer Center, Woodsage Road.
Arrangements have been made under the direction and care of Wright and Salmon Mortuary. (309-688-4441)
