Patrick Michael Dunsmore

Patrick Michael Dunsmore passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2026 at the age of 65.

Patrick was born on June 10, 1960 in Pontiac, Michigan to Gerald and Joanne (Thomas) Dunsmore. After high school, Patrick attended Ferris State University where he finished his Bachelor's Degree and met the love of his life, Kristin Zang. On October 27, 1984, he married Kristin at Trinity Lutheran Church in Livonia. Patrick worked as an accountant for Fitzpatrick Financial Services and just retired last year. Throughout their marriage, he and Kristin loved to travel the USA and had a bucket list to visit as many national parks as they could. They were able to visit 22 National Parks on their many adventures. They hosted many pool parties over the years where Patrick was in charge of making cheeseburgers and margaritas at his Tiki Bar and was always wearing one of his signature Hawaiian shirts. When he wasn't busy making burgers and margaritas, you could find him in the pool "cooling his core" as he would love to say. He took pride in his lawn and out did everyone on the block with his holiday decorations. Patrick's greatest moments were spent hanging out on the back deck and watching his grandchildren swim and being with family. He was a devoted husband, dad, and Pappy. Patrick will be missed by everyone who had the honor of meeting him and his passing has left a void in the hearts of his loving family.

Patrick is survived by his wife, Kristin; children, Erika (Aaron) Lamky and Kevin Dunsmore; grandchildren, Ava Lamky, Connor Lamky, Lukas Lamky, Levi Lamky and Milo Lamky; siblings, James (Eve) Dunsmore and Julia (William) Mongrain; sister-in-law Sharon Dunsmore; nieces and nephews, Noah (Rachel), Elizabeth, Michael (Kristi), Marissa, Nathan, Audrey and Kelsey; parents-in-law, Elden and Carole Zang; siblings-in-laws, Jennifer (Jeff) Drake and Heidi (Patrick) Finlay; and countless extended family and friends. Patrick was preceded in death by his son, Brian; brother, David Dunsmore; niece, Danielle; and his parents.

The visitation for Patrick will take place on Thursday, January 22, 2026 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Hauss-Modetz Funeral Home, 47477 Romeo Plank, Macomb. The funeral service will take place on Friday, January 23, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. with 9:30 a.m. instate time at the funeral home. Entombment will take place following the service at Glen Eden Cemetery, Macomb.
