Patrick Thomas Green, age 48, of Lubbock, TX, passed away unexpectedly June 2, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, hard work, and devotion to his family and community.
Patrick was a proud and committed employee of Gargoyle Steel Structures for over 20 years where he most recently served as the Vice President of the company. His work ethic, attention to detail, and leadership earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues. Patrick lived a life marked by dedication and integrity. Before joining Gargoyle Steel Structures, Patrick was self-employed, demonstrating his entrepreneurial spirit and determination.
Patrick was born on April 21, 1976, in Biloxi, Mississippi. Patrick graduated from Frenship High School in May 1994. On May 27, 1995, Patrick married the love of his life, Melissa. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with joy and love. In June of 1999, they welcomed their first son, Patrick Dale Green, and their family was completed in July of 2004 with the birth of Dylan Thomas Green. Patrick cherished his role as a husband and father, always putting his family first and sharing in their joys and accomplishments. He was eagerly awaiting the birth of his first granddaughter this upcoming fall.
Patrick is preceded in death by his grandfather LTC Patrick Dalager of the US Army and his father-in-law Roger Ward, along with various other beloved family members who have gone before him.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 29 years, Melissa; his sons, Patrick Green and his wife Audrey, and Dylan Green. Patrick also leaves behind his cherished dogs, Harley and Indy. Additionally, he is survived by his mother-in-law, Lucinda Ward; sisters-in-law April (Eugene) Cantu and Lindsey (Joey) Littlefield; nephews Brody Cantu, Jackson Littlefield, and Konnor Littlefield; nieces Kaleigh Varghese, Ellyson Varghese, Bentley Cantu, and Lennon Littlefield, all of Lubbock; his parents, Thomas and Joan Green; 3 sisters all of San Angelo; and many beloved coworkers and friends.
Honorary pallbearers are Joey Littlefield, Dave Postar, Kevin Tatum, Angel Leon, Eric Garcia, and Jeff Trevino.
Patrick’s life was a testament to the values of hard work, dedication, and love for family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
The family will receive friends Friday, June 7, 2024 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Venue on Broadway, 2202 Broadway. A memorial service will be held to honor Patrick's life and legacy Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Venue on Broadway.
