Patrick Charles McCarthy

Patrick Charles McCarthy, 24, died Wednesday, July 19, 2023. He was the second child of Kim and Tim McCarthy of Flemington NJ and is survived by his parents, his siblings Ryan and Caroline, his beloved grandmother Elizabeth Dodge; uncle Rob and Colleen Hurley-Dodge and family in Denver CO; his Aunt Patricia and Ernest Martin in Bethlehem PA, and Uncle Terence and Joyce McCarthy in Harrisburg PA; his cousins from among the Hurley-Dodge, McCarthy, and Martin families; and his many second cousins. Patrick's second family was The Fudge Shoppe in Flemington and the Lloyd family in Huntsville AL.
Patrick grew up in Flemington Devils lacrosse; graduated from Hunterdon Central in 2017; attended University of New Haven where he was a proud, founding member of the NHU Chapter of Kappa Sigma fraternity. At The Fudge Shoppe, Patrick was their Wholesale Manager and Production Coordinator.
Patrick loved sports. He was an avid fan of the Memphis Grizzlies and University of Tennessee football; and played on The Fudge Shoppe softball team. He enjoyed playing soccer, four-wheeling, dirt biking, the pistol range, mixology and pursuing the perfect bourbon. Most of all he loved his motorcycle. Patrick lived forever in the moment and riding channeled that.
The outpouring from his many circles of friends have shown us how he loved and was loved.
We are blessed knowing his extended family and friends grieve with us and yet rejoice with us in knowing his salvation and that he is with Jesus and his late friend, Matt DaSilva.
There will be a public visitation at South Ridge Community Church, 7 Pittstown Road in Clinton NJ from 3:00-5:00 pm on Monday, July 24th followed by a memorial service at 5:00 pm. There will also be a video feed for the service by clicking here.
