Patrick McIntyre Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Joseph J Smith Funeral Home Inc on Jun. 1, 2023.
Patrick Francis "Paddy Mac" McIntyre of Mahopac, NY passed away on April 29, 2023 after a short battle with cancer. Patrick spent his final days surrounded by family and died peacefully in his childhood home. Patrick was born on August 6, 1964 to Patrick and Bridget (Deane) McIntyre in the Bronx. A bright kid, Pat was an avid reader and loved playing sports. In 1974, he moved up to the "country" in Mahopac to have more room to play outside. He graduated John F. Kennedy High School in Somers in 1982 and studied accounting at Pace University where he became a lifelong member of Delta Kappa Epsilon (DKE). After graduation, Pat was proud to pass the Certified Public Accountant exam and worked at several public accounting firms. He spent two years in Venezuela for business. He returned home and opened his own firm in 1996. After 27 years as an accountant in his community, he was fortunate to have many friends become clients and many clients become friends. He was also an avid golfer.
Pat was a devoted father and loved coaching his daughters in soccer. He was a fan of road-trips and travel, with his favorite days being spent at the beach with his family.
Patrick is survived by his loving parents, Patrick J. and Bridget McIntyre; beloved daughters Jennifer (fiancé Jansen Kantor) and Jessica (fiancé Michael Hickey) McIntyre, loving sisters Ann Dignam (John) and Colleen Gardner (Chris); and cherished nieces and nephews Molly, John, Catherine and Christopher. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, including his many friends and extended family members.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 2nd from 4-8 PM at the Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home, 692 US-6, Mahopac, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 3rd at 11:30 AM at St. Joseph's Church, 95 Plum Brook Road, Somers, NY. A private cremation will follow.
