Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cantelmi Long Funeral Home - Bethlehem on Nov. 4, 2025.
Patsy Ann Hebor, a cherished wife, stepmother, aunt, grandmother, and friend, left this world on November 1, 2025, at St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill, surrounded by love and family. Born on February 11, 1952, in
Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Patsy's life was a testament to her enduring spirit and her capacity to touch the lives of those around her with her warmth and kindness.
Patsy grew up in the heart of Bethlehem, where she was nurtured by her parents, the late Robert J. Oliver and Ruth Rachel (Hollinger) Oliver. She was a proud graduate of Liberty High School and furthered her education at Northampton Community College, setting the stage for a career that would be both impactful and fulfilling. Patsy worked at the Northampton County Court House, where she dedicated 30 years of service as a tax assessor. Her hard work and commitment to her community did not go unnoticed, and upon retiring in 2008, Patsy embraced a new adventure at Meryl Creek Reservoir in New Jersey. There, she became known as a "jack of all trades," sharing her talents as a tour guide, park ranger, handling billing, and much more.
Patsy's life was enriched by her loving husband of 45 years, Steven Joseph Hebor. Together, they navigated life's joys and challenges, forging a partnership based on mutual respect and adoration. She found joy in her role as a stepmother to Christine Neetz, alongside her longtime boyfriend Michael Freed of Catasauqua, and Michael Hebor, with his wife Ann, of Derry, Ireland. Patsy delighted in the laughter and growth of her grandchildren, Alexa and Gavan, cherishing every moment spent with them. Her nephew, Perry Price of Bethlehem, will remember his aunt as a guiding light in his life. In addition to her parents, Patsy was predeceased by her sister, Mary, whose memory remained a tender part of her story.
A woman of many talents and interests, Patsy was an artist at heart. She brought beauty into the world through her cake decorating, candle making, and ceramics. Her love for puzzles and games made her the life of every family gathering, and her passion for football, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers, was infectious. A lover of all things Disney and a collector of owl memorabilia, Patsy's playful spirit was a source of joy for all who knew her. She was a devoted member of the former Grace Lutheran Church of Bethlehem, where her faith and fellowship provided a strong foundation throughout her life.
Patsy's volunteer work with the Girl Scouts, Musikfest, Christkindlmarkt, and the Federation of Democratic Women showcased her commitment to service and her desire to make a difference. Her legacy is one of love, laughter, and dedication to the causes close to her heart.
As we say goodbye to Patsy Ann Hebor, we celebrate a life lived with purpose and kindness. Her memory will forever be cherished by her family, friends, and the countless lives she touched.
